EDUCATION AND TRAINING Camden County High School, Kingsland, Georgia Graduated with emphasis on college preparatory courses. Selected two years in a row as Who’s Who in America’s High Schools.
Other: Georgia: Completed various water and wastewater treatment courses, such as, Water Distribution Systems Hydraulics and Flushing, Basic Water Treatment, Fundamentals of Wastewater Treatment, Chlorine Safety, and previously Certified Georgia Class III Water and Wastewater Operator. North Carolina: Completed various water and wastewater treatment courses such as, North Carolina Wastewater Grade II Certification, North Carolina A-Surface Water Certification, North Carolina Grade 1 Physical/Chemical Certification, Total and Fecal Coliform Certification, and Process Control Chemistry for Drinking Water Certification. First Aid and CPR Certified.
EXPERIENCE 3/2004-Current¬- Senior Treatment Plant Operator responsible for managing the G.G. Hill Water Purification Plant. Supervise employees in the water treatment process. Operate SCADA systems. Process DMR’s and monthly reports. Train new employees in the plant operation. Order chemicals and other materials needed for plant operation. Assist in plant maintenance operations.
1999-2004—Water and Wastewater Operator III, City of Kingsland Water Reclamation Facility, Kingsland Georgia. Assist in the routine operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant. Inspect, test, analyze, adjust, and maintain plant operation, using the basic laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Maintain accurate records of plant operational readings according to prescribed schedules, and prepare reports to be distributed to the Environmental Protection Division (EPD). Train subordinate personnel to perform routine operation and maintenance, stressing safety first. During my tenure I have been responsible for maintaining the facility without any major down time.
5/99-8/99—Paper Machine Operator, Gilman Paper Company, St. Marys, Georgia. Utilizing specifications from documentation computed system arrangement. Applying safety guidelines and mechanical skills ensured proper operation of paper machine.
SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES I am reliable, work independently, and respond quickly to correct potential disasters. I am knowledgeable of the OSHA safety guidelines, and communicate well with the public.
