STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONAL

J.M. Waller Associates, Inc. offers environmental, engineering, construction and facility management services to government and commercial clients across the U.S. and around the world. We are seeking a Stormwater Management Professional to provide technical support to Fort Leonard Wood for environmental activities.

Responsibilities:

   * Perform land disturbance site assistance visits, stormwater outfall site inspections, and spill response follow up
   * Provide routine, or as needed, delivery of inspection reports to appropriate government POCs
   * Inspect all Outfalls under MO-0117251 on a monthly basis to ensure the continued presence of proper signage, that existing control measures are functioning properly (as applicable), and that illicit discharges are not detected
   * Conduct follow up inspections following initial Spill response
   * Provide technical and/or administrative recommendations for corrective actions
   * Provide evaluation/review support for environmental compliance (e.g., new regulations, new training missions, new projects, new construction, and new military equipment issues)
   * Develop land disturbance permit inspection reports, land disturbance permit applications, land disturbance permit issuance meeting documentation, and site-specific operating permit applications, inspection reports, and supporting documentation


Activities and duties also include:


   * Report weekly the compliance status of all land disturbance permits through submittal of routine or emergent inspection reports, database maintenance, and any and all forms of verbal, written, or electronic communication
   * Maintain digital and hard copy files of all permits, accompanying inspections, and other documentation as needed or requested.
   * Compile all documentation necessary to submit permit application requests to Federal, State, or local entities
   * Perform permit issuance meetings to include compilation of all pertinent documentation in support of the meeting with permitted entities
   * Perform technical reviews and provide support to review construction & service documentation, plans, drawings, specifications, etc.
   * Provide database support. Maintain or update Land Disturbance Permitting Database/Spreadsheet, MO-0117251



Requirements
:

   * Four year degree in Engineering , Physical, Biological or other related field
   * Minimum 5 years of relevant stormwater experience

Must have one of the following:

   * American Public Works Association Stormwater Manager Certification
   * American Institute of Hydrology Certification for Certified Hydrologic Technician (Specializing in surface water, water quality, or groundwater) 
   * Certification for Stormwater Inspections and/or Management 
   * Stormwater USA Compliance Inspector of Stormwater Certification
   * Federal or State Stormwater Inspector training (if available) 
   * Experience working on Army installations and familiarity with stormwater programs 
   * Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written skills
   * Proficient in Microsoft Office 2007 Suite
   * Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations
