Hannah YaBB Newbies Offline I love Water and Wastewater.com Posts: 3 Company or Organization: Universiti Malaysia Sabah	Urea-ammonia synthetic wastewater Mar 15^th, 2012, 3:15am hi all, I'm doing a research on treating urea-ammonia industry wastewater. However, i need to use a synthetic urea-ammonia wastewater for the experiment purposes and I have no idea to create such sample. Can anyone help me on recipe that I can use. Thank u.

Often, research based on "synthetic wastes" is quite useless. A good example is electrolytic cyanide treatment. It works great on "synthetic" cyanide waste - not so well on real world waste cyanide solutions, which contain high levels of carbonates, and many poorly characterized organic compounds.

If I were you I would get a really large sample of actual WWTP wastewater, and do the study on that.
