Specific Requirements: Specific Requirements:

Responsible for creating general arrangement assembly models and drawings to suit project specific requirements. Creates and responsible for layout and detailed fabrication models and drawings of products. Candidate is required to create new models and drawings as well as modify from existing engineering documents. Responsible for model construction, dimensioning, annotations and weldment detailing. Conducts peer review and checking of project documents. Creates bills of material for release into the MRP system. Compiles materials and specification sheets for submittals. Communicates project and design related issues effectively to the Project Engineer and Project Manager. Knowledge and involvement in the ECN process. Assists in resolving shop fabrication or field installation issues. The ability to demonstrate project cost and budget consciousness. Candidate should also be able to work on multiple products and technologies, multi-task and able to bounce between priorities. Must be a change agent.

Candidate should have advanced experience with 3D solid modeling to leverage master modeling best practices for sheet metal design, large structural steel weldments, assembly for heavy equipment, knowledge of designing rotating equipment, fluid piping system detailing and design, 3D design for fabrication and assembly. Candidate should also be familiar with ASTM and ASME specifications.

Recognition as a design software expert in any 3D design software (e.g. CSWP in SolidWorks). Valid design software includes Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, and NX), AutoLisp or other programming experience a plus.

General Requirements: Job Family Responsibilities:

Originates semi-complex drawings and assemblies to suit project specifications. Processes engineering change requests. Creates semi-complex design layouts and detail fabrication drawings of semi-complex products. Compiles materials and specification sheets. Determines dimensions/specifications necessary on semi-complex drawings. Participates in semi-complex investigations related to product design, trouble shooting and maintenance. Reviews semi-complex engineering drawings and supporting documentation for adherence to drafting and manufacturing standards.
 
General Requirements: Job Family Responsibilities:

Assists in routine drawings to suit engineering changes. Provides assistance in creating routine design layouts and detailed drawings of products. Assists in compiling materials and specification sheets. Assists with dimensions and annotates routine drawings.

Education:

Associates degree or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred. HS diploma or equivalent required. Specialized skill training/certification may be required.

Knowledge and Experience:

Demonstrates a basic knowledge of a technical or specialty area.Generally, up to 2 years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
