Using FracFocus Database to Understand Hydraulic Fracturing and Protect Groundwater Supplies

The Hydraulic Fracturing Chemical Registry known as FracFocus has become the preferred method for national disclosure of chemicals used in the hydraulic fracturing process. With over 15,000 wells and more than 240 oil and gas operators participating in the system FracFocus is now accepted as the official method of chemical disclosure in 7 states and is being considered by several others and the Bureau of Land Management. This webinar will cover the principal elements of the FracFocus public website including Hydraulic Fracturing: How it Works, Groundwater Protection, Chemical Use, State by State Regulation, Finding a Well and other features of FracFocus.
