Cost Sludge Collector/Removal System
May 16th, 2012, 12:40pm

Hi guys and gals!
I need help in establishing ballpark estimates in installing a sludge collector system for a rectangular basin, preferably in cost/floor area or cost/length of basin. I hope someone could provide data for these:
1. Chain and flight
2. Track-mounted hydraulic systems (similar to this: http://www.fbleopold.com/products/ct2/)
3. Traveling bridge without suction headers
4. Traveling bridge with suction headers
5. Floating traveling bridge with suction headers
6. Any other option.

I badly need these info... Thanks a million in advance!
You can point me to your reference instead of answering it directly.

Regards,
Mark

Have you tried contacting FB Leopold (Xylem Water Soultions) as you ref there product specifically?  They would have these costs to help.

You will also need to provide more info than already given. Is this an actual design/project beign bid or is this a clsss assignment?

Thanks for the reply. Yup, I already did. I asked for their CT2 and Clari-Vac systems and still waiting for a reply. They sent me a quote but it was for filter blocks, dunno how they got it mixed up.  Sad

I'm still interested in other brands and other types of sludge collectors. I just need a ballpark estimate for a project proposal and the deadline's coming pretty quick so responses here would be very much appreciated.

It was a Xylem rep for Asia Pacific. She told me that she'll have to forward my inquiry to the US office. She's been very helpful actually, don't know how she mixed up my inquiry though. hehe

And thanks for helping me on this one!

Since I do not know the rep you were tryign to get info from I am providing this info for the main facility at Leoplod.

Leopold
227 South Division Street, Zelienople, PA 16063 USA
Phone: + 1 724-452-6300 | Fax: + 1 724-452-1377
Web Site: http://www.us.ittwww.com/

Let them know that Dallas at Xylem Analytics has been trying to assist you with getting a quote because the rep in your country wouldn't/didn't help you.

So, it appears from your second message that you were contacted, correct?

Nope. I haven't received the followup. She was the one helping me but gave me the wrong cost and referred me to the US office. I haven't received any cost as of today. Thanks.
