UASB effluent PH increased

we use Sodium hydroxide to control the PH of UASB influent water,the PH level we control was 5~7,but UASB effluent water PH increased to 9.5,the CH4 is still produced,what should i do to reduce the effluent water PH?

You could either add an acid to lower the effluent pH or try using less sodium hydroxide. Magnesium hydroxide could be dosed in place of sodium hydroxide which will add extra alkalinity, but you won't see the pH swings.
