Water Analysis
Jun 12th, 2012, 10:24am

Dear experts,

i have just received the report of water sample analysis (see attachment).
The samples were taken in Nigeria (100 km from Lagos).

BH-24 & BH 29 are samples from boreholes. It was taken while drilling for soil investigations were on and at a depth of 20m

North TF : it is the surface water from small creek nearby our tank terminal

East and West Pioneer Jetty: water samples from nearby river, which is approx. 5 km from our site.
Warehouse: sample from surface water in small water bodies near our warehouse.

I have also asked the acceptance level as per Nigerian standards, you will see that in the table.

Can you please have a look at the report and give your opinion/advice??

Thanks in advance.

Probably the figures couldn't be attached to my previous post.
therefore i have copied the data and pasted them below.
So as mentioned before, the samples were taken at 6 locations:
1- BH 24 = Bore Hole 24
2- BH 29 = Bore Hole 29
3- NTF    = North of Tank Farm
4- EPJ     = East Pioneer Jetty
5- WPJ    = West Pioneer Jetty
6- Warehouse

It would appear that you have some seepage issues at your warehouse since many of the metals conc's are at or higher than at the jetty or at the river 5 km away.  Not knowing the exact geographical layout of each of these sample points in relation to each other makes it more difficult to pinpoint what is going on, but I note that the EC levels are much higher at the river than in the samples from the bore holes.
