WEX Companies, based in Milaca MN, provides wastewater services for residential, commercial, industrial and municipal customers. The company consists of two divisions: Septic Check, which provides septic system services including inspection, design, installation, repair, and maintenance for residential and commercial customers. The second division, WEXCO Environmental, provides design, installation, and maintenance services for industrial and municipal wastewater and stormwater customers. Position Available: Wastewater Operator / Service Technician

Job Description: Maintain, operate, and repair residential, commercial, and community septic systems as well as industrial and municipal wastewater treatment facilities.

Licensing/Education/Experience: Class D Wastewater and Water well operator’s license preferred or accredited education and 2 years experience in the wastewater field. MN class B driver’s license. Hold or able to obtain MN PCA Septic System Service Provider and Installer License.

Responsibilities: • Maintain contracted wastewater systems as required by permits • Maintain customer database and service records • Develop and maintain customer relationships • Repair or maintain pumps, control panels, treatment systems, and other equipment • Respond to service or emergency calls • Collect and deliver analytical samples

Post date: 6/18/2012 Close date: until filled Start date: ASAP Starting wage: $17 + / hour depending on experience Hours: This job is a permanent full time position. Employees will be asked to work at least 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. Employees may also be asked to be on call for emergency service on nights and weekends.
