Hello everyone. If I haven't said it before, I Love this forum. I have gotten loads of good advice from ppl. Thanks so much.
Now, I am concerned with the clumps of sludge on the surface of my clarifiers. No air bubbles coming off and no ashing. At present my:
Sludge Age = Cl#3=13 days and Cl4= 12 days
MLSS is 4253 and 3965
SVI is 84.6 and 80.7
RAS rates are at 34 gpm which is 114%.
I have wasted only once this week since the MLSS is staying relatively constant. Different references vary on what a good sludge age for an extended aeration plant is. I am working from one that says >20 days. Bug counts from the lab indicate a younger sludge.
What can I do to get rid of the clumps?
