Organica is currently looking to fill a Business Development Manager position, reporting to the Director Business Development. At Organica the business development team has responsibility for global lead generation, lead development, and partner lifecycle management, as described below.
Summary of Responsibilities Generate new potential product/service sales leads for Organica globally from a variety of sources, including existing/new partners, web promotions, government relations, etc Represent Organica on all kinds of platforms including meetings, conferences, presentations Contribute to and participate in Organica activities at tradeshows Develop sales leads and hand over to the sales team, including qualifying project opportunities, collecting technical and deal milestone data, remote and in-person meetings, calculating initial pricing, writing proposals, and general coordination. Ownership of complete partner lifecycle management for a specific area, including o Identifying, contacting, and qualifying new partners o Negotiating and implementing partnership and cooperation agreements as required o Maintaining and supporting partners in in the region to maximize leads per partner o Evaluating partner performance vs. established goals Develop and manage relationships with relevant trade associations, government bodies, universities, thought-leaders, and other influencers Actively contribute to reach the targets of the Business Development team (define main actions / go to market strategy for specific regions, allocate and review budget, etc.)
Qualifications Bachelors Degree in economics, business or some technical discipline (e.g. engineering) Minimum of 7 years of experience, including 5 in a similar role Prefer three years of experience working with a company that sells products/services to the municipal water/wastewater sector Ability to understand technical issues related to biological wastewater treatment and communicate these issues into business needs and opportunities Experience in negotiating and closing agreements independently Outstanding communication skills in oral and written English Proficient with MS Word and PowerPoint; Superior skills in Excel
