Plant/Process Description:
Plant designed for a population of 3000
people,that is to say, around 4 liters per
second. Is an activated sludge, with aerobic
digestion of sludge. The plant is
called "Compact" due to the aereation tank, the
settling tank and the digester, are constructed
in a single unit, made of inoxidable steel as
tou can see in the photograph. The treated water
is disinfected whit chlorine. The digested
sludge is disposed in drying beds, until it
reaches about 60% of humidity. Then the dry
sludge is transported to landfill.
