Plant/Process Description:
This is unique plant because it consists of
double decker construction carried out to reduce
piling cost during civil construction. The plant
has been constructed in a the small developing
country of Bangladesh to take care of industrial
effluent generated by a world-class
pharmaceutical manufacturing unit.
The treatment units are:
1.Screen Chamber.
2.Equalization tank at first floor level.
3.Clariflocculator at first floor level.
4.Circular aeration tank with fixed type surface aerators at first floor level.
5.Clarifier at ground level below the clariflocculator.
6.Treated effluent holding tank at ground level below the equalization tank.
7.Pressure sand filter.
8.Activated Carbon Column.
The final discharge is into a waterway.
