Plant/Process Description:
The WWTP is a 2.2 MGD extended aeration plant.

The plant consists of 2 separate and different units. The newest section was completed in the spring of 2003. It is a 1.5 MGD oxidation ditch with 2 62'dia x 15'deep clarifiers, followed by UV lights for disinfection and finally post aeration before entering the Salt River.

The other plant was built in 1981. This plant is still in ok shape, 0.7 MGD extended aeration with positive displacement blowers used for dissolved oxygen next is a 40'dia x 14' deep clarifier.

Effluent is then mixed with the 1.5 MGD plant for final treatment as stated earlier. The headworks is also shared by both plants and consists of a bar screen and compactor, its location is on top of the oxidation ditch where the flow is split to either plants and gravity flows though the plants.

Sludge is digested in aerobic digestors then dewatered with a belt press then transported to the local landfill for disposal.
