Flow: Design 5.6 mgd daily average: 3.0 MGC

Treatment Units: mechanical bar rack (1), aerated grit chamber (1), grit blowers (2), channel monster (1), comminutor (backup)(1), circular primary clarifiers (2), primary sludge pumps (2), primary scum pumps (2), internal screw pumps (3), fine bubble aeration tanks (2), PD blower (D.O. controlled) (1), centrifugal blowers (backup) (2), circular secondary clarifiers (2), return sludge pumps (3), waste sludge pumps (2), secondary scum pumps (1), circular tertiary clarifier (1), tertiary waste pumps (2), chlorine contact chambers (2), chlorine delivery (1 ton cylinders), sulfur dioxide dechlorination system, 5000 gallon alum storage tank, 2500 gallon 25% sodium hydroxide storage tank, gravity thickeners (2), vacuum coil filters (2), scum concentrator (1), emergency generator (1), plant water pumps (2), sewage pumps for separate gravity line wet well in plant (2)

Sludge Treatment and Disposal: Presently waste activated sludge and primary sludge are pumped to one gravity thickener. Thickened sludge (3.9 to 5.0 %) is pumped to one gravity vacuum coil filter and dewatered to 18 to 20% solids and disposed of at the Palmer Landfill. Approximately 5400 wet tons/year are generated (1050 dry tons/year).

Facility Upgrades: Presently the facility is in the process of upgrading its' dewatering system with a two meter belt press. As of Jan. 97 the Town has secured a three year contract for outside sludge disposal in cake form due to the closing of the Town Landfill. Other projects include developing solutions to combined sewer overflows, upgrading the Industrial Pretreatment Program, and the installation of VFD's on the plant water pump.

Facility Staff: Includes five licensed operators, one maintenance supervisor, two maintenance technicians with CDLs, one CSO/pump station technician, one CSO/pump station assistant and one secretary/clerk.
