Plant/Process Description:
The Adams Water Treatment Plant is a State
permitted surface water treatment plant with a
twenty four million gallon a day capacity. Using
Lake Martin as the water source, it serves the
Greater Lake Martin Area. The Plant is staffed
by state certified Grade IV operators and is
maintained twenty - four hours a day year round.
Public Notice of Availability of Data
Under EPA's Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring
Rule (UCMR), water systems were required to
monitor treated water entering the distribution
system for a list of contaminants which are
currently unregulated. EPA plans to use data
generated by the UCMR to prioritize contaminants
on the Drinking Water Contaminant Candidate
List, a list of contaminants EPA is considering
for possible new drinking water standards.
