Plant/Process Description:
Treatment plant that process about 3500 m3 of wastewater per day.
In the 1990's new wastewater
treatment plant was installed. After treatment, the wastewater will have
BOD <50 mg liter, TSS <50 mg/liter and will comply with local requirements and
World Bank guidelines.
Inicial COD= 5000 to 7000 mg/l
Final COD= 10 to 35 mg/l
It is an activated sludge plant, with an estimate of
25 days of retention time.
