Plant/Process Description:
The Biddeford Sewage Treatment is an activated sludge plant
with a design flow of 6.5 mgd and a max flow of
12 mgd. The process consists of an activated
biofilter that feeds two .4 MG aeration tanks
wich then flow into our two secondary
clarifiers. Effluent is then chlorinated,
dechlorinated and fed into the Saco River.
