	Hydraulic model of a self cleaning influent pump station

Alden Research Laboratory (http://www.aldenlab.com) developed a 1:8.5 geometric scale model for the City of Phoenix 23rd ave Wastewater Treatment Plant. The model study was conducted to evaluate the hydraulic performance of the wet well design and develop modifications, if needed, to attain acceptable flow conditions at the pump inlets, free of excessive vortices, swirl, and velocity non-uniformities. Video shows operation of the pump station model during the clean-out mode.
