This section model of the K-S Nara Paddle Dryer/Cooler, with a clear end and no cover, demonstrates the excellent mixing action of the dual intermeshing agitators producing high heat transfer rates and uniform heating and cooling. The bed level is reduced for visibility. Operation with a full bed level (paddles covered) fully utilizes the available heat transfer area. In a continuous procss the feed is metered into the inlet end of the trough and displaces product toward the discharge end.
