Oxnard, CA -- Amiad Filtration Systems unveils its Automatic Disc Filter (ADF). The ADF is an automatic, self-cleaning, plastic disc filter. The ADF systems can be configured to meet any flow requirement and to handle various water qualities. The special design of the Amiad discs provides the most efficient system of its kind.
Water enters through the inlet pipe at the bottom part of the filter housing. As the water enters the filter housing it is given a powerful "cyclone" movement by the turbine-like blades of the disc cleaning element in the base of the filter chamber. As the water swirls, some of the dirt particles are thrown outward to the wall of the filter housing to the upper part of the filter, where they remain until the next flushing cycle.
The water flows from the outside of the disc stack To the inside, passing along the specially designed grooves on the surface of the discs which catch the suspended material. The stack of discs is held compressed by the piston at its top. Clean filtered water flows out of the filter from the center outlet.
Now in its fifth decade of successful designing, manufacturing and marketing, Amiad Filtration Systems has established a worldwide reputation. The company is known For its high-quality standards, prompt delivery, and consistent availability of parts. It is renown For unprecedented expertise in its chosen areas of endeavor: sophisticated water filtering equipment, and high-efficiency systems For Irrigation, Industry and Municipal purposes.
