GENEVA, Switzerland -- Hach Ultra announces the release of the new PolyMetron 9123, pH calculated by differential conductivity. This new instrument is part of Hach Ultra’s range of on-line water chemistry analyzers designed for the power industry.
On power plants the measurement of pH is crucial for corrosion control in water and steam circuits. The PolyMetron 9123 offers a pH calculation by differential conductivity for low conductivity waters.
It measures conductivity before and after a cationic resin exchanger using high performance sensors. This provides the specific (total) conductivity and the acid (cation) conductivity. An accurate pH value is provided without the constraints typically associated with conventional glass electrodes in low conductivity applications.
The PolyMetron 9123 also provides the cationic conductivity which is one of the most sensitive and reliable on-line means to detect contaminants such as chlorides, sulfates, nitrates and organic acids.
This instrument is available as an all-in-one panel analyzer or single transmitter. It offers reduced panel space whilst offering a “Dry” pH detection that is both reliable and a more cost effective analysis compared with traditional electrodes.
The PolyMetron 9123 has been specifically designed to combine lowest cost of ownership with highest quality and performance. For further information on this instrument or any other Hach Ultra instruments contact your local Hach Ultra representative.
