Singapore -- Eimco Water Technologies, a division of GL&V Singapore Pte. Ltd. has secured a contract for a value of over $4M Canadian dollars with Phoenix Pulp & Paper Co. Ltd., of Thailand.

Eimco Water Technologies will supply a complete biological wastewater treatment system consisting of screening, primary and secondary clarification, FlooBed® Bio Reactor, activated sludge process, FlooDaf™ microfiltration and a sludge dewatering system to be installed at their mill in the Nampong district of Khon Kaen province in the North of Thailand.

Eimco Water Technologies will also be responsible of the engineering, the supervision and the commissioning of the project. The delivery is schedule for the first quarter of 2008.

This order is part of a major capacity expansion project at the plan; adding a new paper machine which will produce 200,000 ton/year of uncoated wood-free paper and the new biological treatment system will treat the wastewater generated from the new addition.

Phoenix has the distinction of being the only mill in the world which manufactures market pulps from bamboo, kenaf and eucalyptus, which fall under the category of non-wood plants and are considered most environmentally friendly raw material.
