Alexandria, VA -- The Water Environment Federation (WEF) announces two new exhibition records for WEFTEC®.07 - WEF’s 80th Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference - just four weeks from the conference opening at the San Diego Convention Center in October.

This year’s exhibition will host 1,013 companies occupying 267,585 net square feet of exhibition floor space which continues a three-year trend of record-breaking numbers for the Federation. The previous records of 965 companies and 245,155 nsf were set last year at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.

Now celebrating its 80th year, WEFTEC has not only grown in its technical scope but has become the largest annual water quality exhibition in the world and shows no signs of slowing down.

“More and more companies are realizing that WEFTEC is the place to conduct business in the water and wastewater fields,” said Nannette Tucker, Director of WEFTEC Sales. ”This year alone we’ve had a five percent increase in the number of companies and a nine percent increase in the amount of assigned floor space. With just a month to go I’m still getting calls every day from companies who are interested in exhibiting this year.”

As the largest conference of its kind in North America, WEFTEC also offers water quality professionals from around the world with the best water quality education and training as well as unparalleled access to the most cutting-edge technologies in the field. A wide range of topics in nine different focus areas allow attendees to design their own, unique learning experience while earning up to 35 contact hours for continuing education units and 9 professional development hours.

Focus areas include: collection systems, membrane technologies, plant operations and treatment, regulations, research, residuals & biosolids, utility management, water reuse/recycling and water quality & watershed management. Designed as a forum for education and technology exchange, WEFTEC also provides an ideal setting for domestic and international business opportunities and promotes invaluable peer-to-peer networking between its more than 18,000 attendees.

WEFTEC.07 will be held October 13-17 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California.
