Parsons, KS -- Tank Connection announced today that a new tank manufacturing facility will be built in Parsons, KS. The first phase of construction will include a 75,000 square foot facility for bolted FP (flat panel) and hybrid tank construction. Both products are recognized in the marketplace as premier product lines with unprecedented demand in both the liquid and dry bulk storage markets.
The new plant will include the latest state-of-the-art equipment for precision panel construction and the application of baked-on Fusion FBE™ powder coat technology. Tank Connection and the BOSS Tank FP (flat panel) design are unique in combining the best attributes of bolted and field-weld tank construction into one product.
“We believe it is the future of storage containment worldwide,” stated company president Bill Neighbors. “Additionally, over the last 2 and a half years, we have been fabricating proprietary tank jacking systems, which allows us to build TC and BOSS storage tanks at grade level. In essence, Tank Connection can fabricate a custom designed storage system, containerize it along with our special synchronized jacking process, and ship it anywhere in the world for assembly."
Neighbors continues, "Again, what makes this special is that all construction in the field is maintained with construction workers on the ground, not elevated in the air. Tanks and silos that are over 100’ tall are easily constructed at grade level. This is not only a unique process, but it brings installed quality and field installation safety to a new benchmark of performance in the industry. Needless to say, the industry has responded quite favorably.”
The Tank Connection Affiliate Group is an integrated family of companies that specialize in dry bulk and liquid storage applications worldwide. The flagship for the TCA Group is Tank Connection, located in Parsons, KS. TC specializes in dry bulk and liquid storage tanks, integrated storage systems, storage terminals and water/wastewater storage applications.
The TCA Group maintains over 300 employees serving the industry. The company is also recognized for combining the best experienced professionals in storage tank design, fabrication & field construction into one team.
The new facility will service both the domestic and international markets. Construction is scheduled to begin within 45 days and should be partially operational as early as April 2008.
