ALEXANDRIA, VA - The Water Environment Federation (WEF) announces Collection Systems 2004, the most comprehensive and up-to-date conference related to critical topics in collection systems and leading Collection Systems Exhibition in North America. Held in cooperation with the Central States Water Environment Association, the event will take place August 8-11, 2004 at the Midwest Airlines Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The four-day conference examines a full-range of the latest collection systems topics with a special emphasis on various management approaches designed to minimize environmental impacts on receiving waters. Experts in the field will present the latest regulations, research, and developments during a number of technical sessions, workshops, exhibits and tours of local collection systems projects. Topics include: sound business management principles and practices for wastewater, stormwater and combined collection systems, asset management, adoption of BMPs, development of SOPs, and implementation of environmental and watershed-based decision-making.
Those encouraged to attend are water and wastewater utility managers, wastewater collection systems managers and operators, engineering consultants, managers/owners of contract operation firms, state and federal regulators and equipment manufacturers.
