Granville, OH -- New Holophane Petrolux III luminaires present a reliable, flexible solution for lighting in harsh environments including classified hazardous locations. The indoor/outdoor fixtures are well suited to waste water treatment, power generation, petro-chemical, pulp and paper, and ethanol and biodiesel production plants.

Energy efficient Petrolux III lighting fixtures provide superior optical performance and the option of using a wide range of lighting sources and wattages, from 50- to 400-watt metal halide, high pressure sodium, compact fluorescent and induction. The luminaires are offered with several optical choices to meet varying design needs.

The Petrolux III series distinguishes itself by providing several unique mechanical features that are a first to the industry:

External Capacitor Module

Designed for longevity, the External Capacitor Module (ECM) option extends the life of the ballast system by up to 4 times over a standard HID fixture. This innovative solution provides you with reduced maintenance costs over the life of the luminaire.

Universal Mount

Engineered for maximum flexibility, the Universal Mount, offers most mounting configuration in one SKU, including wall and stanchion mount. This unique feature eliminates the need to order multiple mounting configurations on the job site, reducing installation and replacement costs.

"The Petrolux III series was designed for customers who want the lowest long term operating cost," said Tamar Williamson, Holophane Indoor Product Manager.

"The luminaires merge state-of-the-art optics with cutting edge ballast design, thermal management and unique mechanical features to meet the rigorous requirements of various demanding environments."
