Salt Lake City, UT -- Eimco Water Technologies, LLC, a subsidiary of the Canadian based company Groupe Laperrière & Verreault Inc., secured an order totaling over US$1.0 million with Hydrotech Professional Ltd., Hong Kong.

This order includes ten high-efficiency mixers to be installed on the two new twenty-meter digesters at the Sha Tin STP wastewater treatment plant in Hong Kong. Eight of these mixers include Eimco’s draft tube heat exchanger jacket technology eliminating the need for sludge re-circulating pumps and their piping in the digester heating scheme while allowing savings in footprint in comparison with other previously used equipment. Eimco Water Technologies will also provide engineering, supervision during the installation, and commissioning on the project. Delivery is scheduled for February 2005.

Eimco Water Technologies has previously provided twenty high-efficiency mixers for the first four digesters in Phase I of this major upgrade of the plant that once completed will add a total of six new digesters to the sludge process including this latest addition of two tanks. The upgrade of the anaerobic digestion facilities will double the sludge treatment capacity, and will bring the total treatment digester capacity of the plant to 46,000 cubic meters, with higher mixing efficiency and less power usage.

Founded in 1975, GL&V is a world leader in liquid/solid separation technologies used in a large number of industrial, municipal and environmental processes.
