Findlay, OH -- Hancor is pleased to announce it has received yet another “Appreciation for Model Code Performance Committee Work” award for its contributions to the Model Performance Code Committee of the National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association (NOWRA). This is the second consecutive year Hancor has received this honor.
NOWRA is dedicated to providing leadership and promoting the onsite wastewater treatment and recycling industry through education, training, communication and tools to support excellence in performance.
Hancor has played a role in assisting development of a model code as a Primary Committee member. A model code is a document intended to influence the adoption of codes by government agencies. It provides code provisions which are supported by data, science and expert opinion. So once finalized, this comprehensive updated code will be made available to local and state governments with the intent to adopt it as the local code. Many industry experts have been involved in providing their expertise.
“Hancor is proud to be involved in this model code development,” says Bill Altermatt, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Hancor. “We hope to help establish a road map for the industry to adopt, setting standard performance expectations across the board to protect our nation’s water quality.”
The Primary Committee is responsible for the general direction of the code development process and for developing the Classification Matrices and the model code outline. A draft of the NOWRA model code is available on their website at www.nowra.org.
