WASHINGTON, DC -- The water industry has changed rapidly, including more stringent drinking water and effluent standards, and new government accounting practices. Meeting the water and wastewater infrastructure needs of communities has also become a serious challenge, particularly in the environment of current public sector budgets.

To answer many of the questions related to these dynamics, the National Council for Public-Private Partnerships (NCPPP) and New Jersey State League of Municipalities (NJLM) are hosting a workshop to educate municipal and government officials.

Delaware River Water Asset Management workshop will be held on April 19 at the Trenton Marriott Hotel in Trenton, NJ. Two featured speakers will include Mayor Douglas Palmer of Trenton, NJ and Mayor George Spadoro of Edison, NJ.

This workshop will include experts from public and private sectors to discuss fundamentals and implementation of public-private partnerships, local experiences including case studies, employee impact, risk allocation, and financing.

The National Council for Public-Private Partnerships is a non-profit, non-partisan organization founded in 1985. The Council is a forum for the brightest ideas and innovators in the partnership arena. Its growing list of public and private sector members, with experience in a wide variety of public-private partnership arrangements, and its diverse training and public education programs, represent vital core resources for partnering nationwide.
