Costa Mesa, CA -- To remove and clean larger flows and solids loading levels, the Auger Monster® wastewater screen is now offered with substantial design improvements, thanks to the incorporation of new technology from the recently released Channel Monster® XD.

The larger Auger Monster XD systems now feature a larger, more powerful drive system. Systems using cutter stacks that are 40” (1016mm) tall or greater, now include the power of JWC Environmental’s Macho Monster technology.

These systems utilize a 10HP (7.5kW) motor on the cutting chamber’s two shafts of 7½ inch (190mm) cutters to provide unparalleled capability to handle large and difficult solids. Single and double drum models of the

Auger Monster XD feature:
 Improved mechanical seals with a hex driven design—providing longer life and a stronger seal cartridges
 Multi-drive design—dedicated drives for the cutter stack and each screening drum, with independent operation
 Drum units are powered by 1HP (0.7kW) motors on each screening drum
 Unique flexibility in control and monitoring of the system

Operator interface controllers, in which on-the-fly changes can be made to the run sequences of the drums and the auger, allow the end user to benefit from maximum machine efficiency and a clean and dry discharged end product.
The smaller Auger Monster systems will continue to utilize the 5HP (3.7kW) and 4¾ inch (120mm) cutters, which have provided years of excellent performance. All systems will continue to use the ¼ inch (6mm) perforated screening drums for superior capture efficiency.

The Auger Monster XD is perfect for small to medium headworks, correctional facilities or institutions that require reliable, umanned operation 24 hours per day.
