The new Accusonic Model 7720 Transit-Time Flowmeter measures up to 10 paths from a single console. It can also be networked into a flowmeter system with the Model 7700 Master Control Unit, connecting up to a total of sixteen flowmeters. Each flowmeter in the system can monitor four separate pipes and/or channels, providing an integrated flow measurement system for up to 64 separate flow measurement and monitoring sections. “Accusonic is the worldwide leader in hydroelectric flow and performance measurement systems,” states John Trofatter, General Manager of Accusonic Technologies. “This new system offers the full communication networking capability the industry desires and achieves the high level of flow measurement performance the industry demands along with the Accusonic assurance of accuracy. Utilizing multiple-path, chordal, transit-time technology, achievable accuracy is +/- 0.5% in full pipes and +/- 2.0% in partially full pipes and channels (even in the presence of flow profile distortions and cross flow). A flexible offering of Accusonic transducers is available including designs for hazardous area installations, exposed pipes of all materials, buried or encased pipes, and pipes and channels that cannot be dewatered.
