Hydra-Stop Wins Prestigious Nova Award

Huntsville, AL -- ADS LLC announced that Hydra-Stop, one of its three operating divisions, is being honored by the Construction Innovation Forum (CIF). The Forum has selected Hydra-Stop’s Insta-Valve Plus to win the prestigious NOVA Award for outstanding innovation in construction.

The 2007 winners were announced in Naples, Florida at the Annual Construction Users Roundtable (CURT) Awards Dinner held on Tuesday, November 6, 2007. The NOVA Award is CIF’s most distinguished honor. Nominated innovations are judged by a jury of independent, internationally recognized experts following an intense and thorough investigation process.

Innovations are judged by their effect on the construction process and on facility services. They must be a proven success that has significantly improved construction, quality, productivity, safety, and cost effectiveness.

“It is both an honor and a humbling experience to accept this prestigious award from CIF,” states Brett Hanes, General Manager of Hydra-Stop. “I want to thank all that played a role in our receiving this award, including our clients. Insta-Valve Plus has only begun to scratch the surface of its full capabilities.”

Insta-Valve Plus is a liquid flow control valve insertion for immediate line stopping capabilities. It won the NOVA Award for innovation in water distribution control. The people at ADS LLC and Hydra-Stop with primary responsibility for the innovation are: Brett Hanes, General Manager of Hydra-Stop; Carl Mastny, Production Manager; Brad Tolman, Field Services Manager; and Joseph Goustin, CFO at ADS LLC.
