PORTLAND, ME -- Woodard & Curran is pleased to announce that the second edition of the
Industrial Waste Treatment Handbook has been recently released.
Based on the first edition, which was written by Frank Woodard who co-founded Woodard & Curran in 1979, the second edition incorporates the firm’s collective experience in industrial waste treatment and knowledge of industries, making this second edition more comprehensive than ever. The handbook continues to build on the character of the first edition, which was noted by a recent review in Water Environment & Technology magazine to be an "exemplary compendium of solutions and alternatives to treat solid, liquid, gaseous wastes from various industries… this book motivates readers to handle pollution control both prudently and creatively."
Designed as a practical, on-the-job engineering manual for working professionals, the text includes a series of quick-reference charts and tables dealing with waste characterization, waste audits, and the environmental audit as well as priority water pollutants designated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and a newly expanded chapter on laws and regulations with a focus on air pollution control.
Known as an essential reference for environmental managers, engineers, scientists, operators and regulators, the Industrial Waste Treatment Handbook is published by Butterworth-Heinemann, an imprint of Elsevier.
