"High Performance In-line Analysis"

Optek Chlorine Dioxide Analyzers Available from Tiberian

Atlanta, GA - Tiberian Technologies Inc. announces the availability of Optek chlorine dioxide analyzers. For more than fifteen years Optek has provided high performance in-line photometric analyzers worldwide. Optek's in-line process photometers are unequaled in precision and performance.

There are several advantages of the Optek process photometry including;

  • In-line, real time photometric process measurement - no slip stream, no titration and no regular maintenance
  • Accuracy, repeatability, linearity and installed cost that beat the competition
  • Dual-channel integrated-reference sensor compensate for all possible disturbances such as optical coatings, lamp aging and varying levels of particulate in the stream
  • Sapphire optics that will never degrade at any concentration to guarantee top performance for the life of the process
  • Superior sensor materials precisely machined from solid block Titanium, Teflon, Kynar and others
  • Low necessity to maintain or calibrate - only an annual validation using NIST- traceable calibration filters is performed in less than 10 minutes
  • Extremely reliable and user friendly
  • Easy to install, setup, operate and maintain

Tiberian Technologies exclusively incorporates the Optek analyzer into the "TST™" chlorine dioxide generator for use in water, wastewater, rendering and cooling towers.

Tiberian Technologies Inc. is a research and development company dedicated to the advancement and commercialization of new technologies. The Company was formed in 1995, in response to requirements for new water treatment processes which would eliminate the need for gaseous chlorine and address new EPA requirements for lower Tri-halomethanes (THM’s) in the treated water flows.

After five years of development, Tiberian has shown its technology to be effective in applications from El Paso, TX to Moscow, Russia. The Company has built generators which have been successfully employed in water treatment, waste water and rendering applications for disinfection, oxidation of metals, odor abatement and other advanced oxidation requirements.

CEO Challenges The Bush Administration

N-Viro International CEO Keynotes WEF/EPA Manure Conference

TOLEDO, Ohio, June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- N-Viro International Corporation (Nasdaq: NVIC) CEO J. Patrick Nicholson gave the keynote address at today's third annual Water Environment Federation (WEF)/U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) joint conference on animal manure and biosolids.

Nicholson has been an outspoken advocate of resource conservation policies and practices and began lobbying for such policies in 1976. During the past 25 years Nicholson's firms have marketed millions of tons of fly ash, kiln dust and organic by-products as valuable construction materials, structural materials, top soils, aglime and agronomic products. In October 1991, Nicholson was honored by the President of the United States, receiving the President's Environment and Conservation Challenge Award Citation.

"Both the USDA and the USEPA," Nicholson said, "are well aware of existing technologies that economically and environmentally treat animal manures to ensure safe and socially responsible management. These options include processes, some developed by N-Viro, that are less than 50 percent of the cost that municipal taxpayers pay for the treatment of biosolids. By working together, USDA can convert a serious problem into a magnificent opportunity. All that is required is leadership from Washington."

Nicholson concluded: "Will the Bush Administration, the Whitman EPA and the U.S. Congress have the courage and the wisdom to open the windows and seek the truth? To do what is right? Will they ask, 'what can I do for my country?'"

This is the second consecutive year Nicholson has been invited to provide the keynote address. Senator Tom Harkin, Chairman of the U.S. Senate Agricultural Committee gave the initial keynote presentation in 1999 in Crystal City, Virginia. This year's conference June 6-8, 2001, in Chicago, Illinois, is targeting "Innovative Processes to Produce Useful Materials and Energy from Biosolids and Animal Manure."

The full text of Nicholson's remarks is available at http://www.nviro.com . More information about N-Viro International can be obtained by contacting the office on the Internet at http://www.nviro.com or by e-mail inquiry to info@nviro.com

People post their requests for help and offer their suggestions to others in our open forum.

Mr. Javis wants to know about DE Filters:

Greetings, I used to work for a company that had a DE filter which was basically a drum which when charged was coated with DE. When the filter became clogged a knife which ran the length of the drum, "peeled" off the waste material, flushing it away.

Does anyone out there know of such a device or a brand name? I am looking for a filter which can handle solids removal for recirculating fish farms.

Thank you,
Paul Jarvis

Mr. Kassam wants to know cost estimates:

I'm completing a comparative feasibility study for wastewater treatment of an effluent that is heavily loaded with COD, and would appreciate some help in some cost approximations. I'm looking at an anaerobic digestor that is about 180 cubic meters. Additionally, I need an appropriate clarifier to separate out the biomass, but have no idea where to start sizing. Help is appreciated.

Kind regards,
