Help Forum : Hot Messages from the Help Forum

People post their requests for help and offer their suggestions to others in our open forum.

Mr. Stutzman wants help with SBR nutrients:

Plant influent history - average total influent flow is 1.3 mgd. Most of our influent is industrial and one third of it is generated by a paper manufacture.  Influent loading averages in mg/l for 1 year:
BOD - 280 TKN - 10 NH3-N - 7 T-PO4-P - 2.5

Present plant is a lagoon plant, upgrading to a 4mgd SBR WWTP. Some of our concerns are whether or not we will be nutrient deficient.

Causing filamentous growth and the reduction of new cell production?  Will it be necessary to add nitrogen and phosphorous in the form of urea?

We would appreciate any input that you may have regarding this matter.
